Zen Studios hired me full-time almost specifically to write Operencia: The Stolen Sun. Though I had written for games in the past at Marvel, this was the first time I was an actual writer and narrative designer. It was an amazing experience, and I would humbly suggest that the reviews speak for themselves. Delving into Hungarian folktales and mythology to craft a cohesive universe was a career highlight, and to be honest, I'm bummed we never got to do a sequel.
Script Sample
Complete with writer's commentary, this video takes you through the fifth of thirteen maps in Operencia: The Stolen Sun. It is abridged for time, but probably 80% of the critical-path dialogue is included.
If you're curious about the sample in its entirety, it begins here and continues here. Of course, I invite you to check out the rest of the game via that YouTube channel as well. Or, you know...actually play! (I wrote all of the store marketing text as well.)
